Today has been one of those funny days. I walked Addie to school today and as we approached the front of the school, I stepped in a big pile of doggy do on the sidewalk. Huge pile! Addie was yelling,"Waaaaatch ouuuuut!" as my shoe and poo became one. There was no avoiding it. I am so happy to report that nothing profane shot out of my mouth or into my head. I don't know what it was about the poo but I have had a fantastic day and a grin on my face ever since the "do
incident."
Addie is now in kindergarten. It blows my mind. I have really missed her each day until we get her from school. On our way home she tells funny stories or vents her frustrations.
Today she was very upset about friend titles. The other day she and some girls at school pinky promised to be best friends forever. Today it became clear to her that two of her friends liked each other maybe more than they liked her. In a most destraught voice Addie said,"But...pinky promises can't be broken." Tender moment, but it took great effort not to bust up laughing. I hate to see her sad, but she was over it almost as soon as she said it, so I feel fairly justified finding the humor in the situation.
The drama level is at an all-time high and the things that come out of her mouth are getting more and more hilarious. I need to keep writing them down.

thanks for posting. i love your life girl, so much fun.
Jen you make me smile. I would not have taken the poo incident so
lightly-to be honest. Matter of fact, taking and cleaning up after our chihuahua is my least favorite thing right now! (I do love him tho..u think that'd make it better..but it doesnt)
I love ur stories about Addie. Keep sharing! I reminisce about when Logan use to share fun school stories..now he's mentioning girls!! I'm way nervous but try not to show it. :0/ and Maddie is still like Addie, thank goodness!
ahhhh....we miss you guys! Lauren has been so bummed since we got back from Utah that she can't play with "Big" Addie. I feel bad that we never said goodbye....although I hate that. You guys are the best! How is law school? Overall does Addie like school? Lauren loves it! She missed the first week because she was in the hospital...pneumonia and blood infection- BLAH! Anyway, we love it! Life is good! Keep in touch!
Ahh she is so cute. Here and Mya are both in Kindergarten that is funny we have kids that are the same age. Cool!
Hey Jen. I found your blog through Jodi's. I am glad you are back! I love what little kids say sometimes, hilarious!
Addie is so precious! Hopefully their pinky promise will hold true, poor girl.
I love some of the comments Collin busts out with. Definitely write them down. It's well worth it to read it to them later.
You had a great attitude about the poo. I probably would have been MAD all day without smiles.
You didn't even THINK a bad thought?! I need to hang around with you more!! MUCH MUCH MORE! Maybe you could cure me.
Marnee, I was only so excited by my reaction because that is so far from what is the norm. Unfortunately this cure you are seeking, will have to be found elsewhere. Now imagine the bummer charlie brown music.
Jen, this post makes me miss you so much! I'm so glad you are in AZ now so that we can see you more! On that note, you guys want to come up for Halloween? We won't be down there until Christmas.
That's hilarious!
