THE PEOPLE IN MY WORLD THAT I WISH EVERYONE KNEW

WENDY KAMPSEN

Before I go into the sappy stuff, I first want to paint a picture of Wendy. One time we decided to go eat at Mongolian BBQ and once our food was cooked she realized that she wasn't hungry at all, but she had paid for her food. She asked for a to go box and they refused saying that it was a buffet, no to go boxes. So she emptied her new purse and poured her plate into her purse. I think I laughed so hard that I...

She has a five yr old and twin three yr old boys and is pregnant with shocker baby number 4. She had decorated her main floor so great with this big red sectional and accent walls and such things. As her boys got older and wanted to play, she decided to take out all of the furniture and carpet from the living and family rooms and tiled everything so that they could ride their bikes and scooters all over the house. My daughter Addie loves her boys, but she doesn't ask to go to their house, she asks to go to Wendy's house.

Wendy is kind of neurotic and crazy spontaneous and I love, love, love those things about her, but those are not the real reasons that I love to be around her. We met as trailwalkers working for the Anasazi Foundation in the Arizona desert. She was probably the best trailwalker I had ever witnessed. I think what it was was that she was honest with herself and with everyone else. The kids loved her because she was real, she wasn't trying to be cool, she just was. She doesn't claim to be perfect and I know that she is not, but Wendy is uniquely good. Her heart is so big and she wants good for everyone and will and does go to insane lengths to help people. While I sit back and witness the things that she does, for example watching 8 children at a time without any kind of compensation while also juggling 50 phone calls, just to help people out, I sometimes want to shake her and bar her from such activities but that is what Wendy does and that is part of who she is and why she can enjoy her life so much (not to say that she always does, we all have bad days). While I know this is not her motivation, I have to believe that she is or will be majorly blessed for the way that she is with people.

Jen,

Wendy is an old friend of mine from 11 years ago, if she is the one whose maiden name is Jameson. I lost touch with her, and have tried to reconnect. I know it's a longshot, but if you are jn touch with her, please have her contact me at dcw1012ecom@hotmail.com.
